Neuroimaging and Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity refers to the variation in neural pathways and synapses occurred due to underlying factors, like behaviour, environment, or neural processes. At such a stage, the changes occurred impel the brain to engage in synaptic pruning, deletion of neural connections that are unnecessarily present, and strengthening the useful ones. Recent progress in technology has provided us with advanced imaging techniques for investigating neuroplasticity in order to recover and treat any neurologic injury and disease. This session talks about such advances and methodologies of neuroimaging for the diagnosis of neuroplasticity.
