Ka Hou CHU received his bachelor degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1976 and completed his PhD study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Wood Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography in 1984. He is now a research professor at the School of Life Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and was the first Director of the school. He is also an associate head of the New Asia College, CUHK as well as Li Dak Sum Chair Professor of Ningbo University, China. Prof. Chu has diverse research interests in marine science, published about 230 papers on marine biology and biotechnology, molecular systematics and ecology, fisheries and aquaculture, biodiversity conservation, and seafood allergy. He serves as associate editor in three international journals.

Tahmina Ajmal has background in electronics, sensors, and data analytics. She completed her PhD from University of Essex and joined University of Bedfordshire in October 2010 as Lecturer in Engineering. She is actively involved in teaching, research, and enterprise activities. During this time, she has worked in various aspects of electronic engineering, but her focus has been on sustainable digital technology. The impact of her research can be seen through her interdisciplinary outputs including research publications in high quality journals and research collaborations across the world. She is also very keen to disseminate her research through talks, she has delivered many invited talks in UK, Europe and abroad. These collaborative activities have resulted in some consistent income generation and research outputs over the years. Now she is increasingly working with Social Sciences on topics of sustainable digital transformation for society and businesses. Her recent projects are in aquaculture and reducing food waste.

Douglas J. Fiore, Ph.D. was named the 3rd President of Mercy College of Health Sciences by the Mercy College Board of Directors. Fiore began his new role as President of the College on June 10, 2018, after working with retiring President Barbara Quijano Decker in a period of onboarding to enable a seamless transition. Fiore’s selection followed an extensive, national search conducted by Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Inc., a national higher education executive search firm which provided support to the President’s Campus Search Committee. "After thoughtful succession planning and a national search process, the board is pleased to have selected Dr. Fiore to lead Mercy College moving forward," said Glenn Lyons, Chairman of the Board of Directors and co-chair of the search committee. Darryl, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), joins the college following recently earning his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Darryl has worked as a Nurse Anesthetist since 1998 in Massachusetts, Oregon, and Washington State. Darryl will lead the college’s DNP program, which prepares nurse practitioners and population health nurses. The program is offered through the college at three sites- Spokane, Vancouver, and most recently, Tri-Cities, Washington.

He creates new indication of Allopurinol for stomatitis induced by cancer treatment which was approved by the Japanese Cancer treatment committee to propose new mechanism of Allopurinol for anti-oxidant. And now, there are so many new research papers of Allopurinol in the world.
