Dr. (Mrs.) Santa Misra is at present Reader and Head, Department of Psychology, Sri Satya Sai College for Women, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She started her professional career as a Lecturer in Psychology in 1982 at Banki College, Banki . Dr. (Mrs.) Misra received her M.Phil. Degree in 1981 and Ph.D. Degree in 2000, both in Experimental Psychology from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She is a member of some Professional Bodies and Associations, like, Odisha Psychology Association, National Academy of Psychology, Indian Psychology Institute, E-journal Antimatters, World Gerontology Board of Japan, and Core committee member of Association of Gerontology in Higher Eduction,USA. Dr. (Mrs.) Misra is the author of several books, namely, ‘Sleep Learning : Theory and Practices’; and ‘Metacognitive Awareness and Academic Performance’ ; co-author of the book entitled ‘Statistics for Behavioural and Social Sciences’ ( published by Sage) ‘Psychology of Deviants.; and has contributed a chapter in an edited book entitled, Psychology of Women Studies. She has completed 7 Research Projects sponsored by the UGC and UNFPA. Dr. Misra has successfully guided and supervised two Ph.D. Scholars; published 32 research papers in International Journals and 22 papers National journals; presented 55 research papers in National and 12 papers in International Conferences; delivered around 50 popular talks on various psychological topics at professional meetings. Dr.(Mrs.) Misra has visited Russia, Japan, France and USA to present her papers in the International Conferences. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Post-graduate Department of Psychology, Utkal University, for two years (January, 2009- January, 2011) to do research for her D.Litt. (Doctor of Literature) Degree. Dr.(Mrs.) Misra is having research interest in ‘Physiology and comparative psychology’, ‘Cognitive Psychology’, ‘Experimental Psychology’, ‘Experimental Designs’, ‘Research Methodology’ and ‘Statistics’.
