Biography
Dr. Adel K. El-Naggar, Director of the Head and Neck Pathology Fellowship Program and Chief of the Section of Head and Neck Pathology and Professor in the Department of Pathology, has been named the August 2014 Faculty Educator of the Month. Since his appointment as Director in 2002, Dr. El-Naggar has overseen training of participants in the Head and Neck Pathology Fellowship Program. Fellows in this program participate in consultations at MD Anderson as well as The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in which they make pathologic diagnoses both using resected specimens and during operations. Furthermore, alongside faculty members, fellows complete research projects that are usually translational, write reports of their research, and make presentations at Head and Neck Pathology clinical planning conferences.
