Biography

Rachel Pessah-Pollack, M.D., F.A.C.E. completed her Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, after which ProHEALTH was pleased to welcome her to our Division of Endocrinology. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and as a Physician Nutrition Specialist. She is an Assistant Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a coauthor of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) Hypothyroid Guidelines published in 2012 and Osteoporosis Guidelines published in 2010. Dr. Pessah-Pollack edited a book, “Endocrine Disorders During Pregnancy, An Issue of Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinics of North America” in 2011. She has a special interest in pregnancy-related endocrine disorders and thyroid disease and performs ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules.
